Gore/Webbers Falls Lions Club President Don Carter, and Terry Sloan, treasurer, attended the Lions of Oklahoma District 3-E Convention in McAlester. Sloan did a presentation on the LCIF Community Restoration Grant for the Webbers Falls Park. Extensive work was done after the Webbers Falls flood in 2019 for the restoration of the monuments from the I-40 Bridge collapse, cleanup of the park, new signs, drainage, new roof on the gazebo and trees taken out. The Lions from the Gore/Webbers Club and other clubs helped in the restoration project. Sloan was recognized for her contribution in writing the grant by International Director Dr. Jose Marrero and District 3 E Governor Dollie Wooddell.
