(ON THE FRONT COVER): An official opening for the new Ag Building at Vian Public Schools was done on Friday at 10 a.m. with a hamburger cookout, courtesy of Purple and Gold Beef, whose products will be sold along with Blue and Gold Products this fall by Vian FFA members. Those present for the opening were, from the left, Trent Trotter –Vian Ag Instructor and Advisor, Ed Brockman–Vian Public Schools, James Thornton– Vian Board of Education, Jerry Caughman–Vian Board of Education, Ed Barton–Vian Board of Education, Gary Seay–Vian Board of Education, Victor Salcedo–Vian Public Schools Superintendent, Raymond Brusco–Construction Superintendent for Beshears Construction, Travis Beshears–Contractor for Beshears Construction, Keith Bosher –Town of Vian Administrator, Tommy Wright–Vian Public Schools, and Michael Cob – former Vian Board of Education member. The new building and classroom were completed just in time for the new school year on Monday, allowing 6,000 sq. ft. of space compared to the old shop and classroom space of 1,500 sq. ft.
