While it is not his full-time job, beekeeper Mike Rigg was recruited last Wednesday to remove a bee swarm that had landed itself in a bush at the base of the flag pole in front of the Sequoyah County Courthouse. However, that wasn’t all. Two other swarms had located themselves out of reach. One was located in one corner of a second-story window where the large courtroom is located. Another swarm was reported clinging to a third-story window where the old jail was located on the opposite side of the courthouse. Courthouse officials were at a loss as to how to get rid of those in the windows, other than hope they might decide to swarm to another location.
