Patsy Amos Bronson, 89, was honored at the Sallisaw Lions Club 77th annual Rodeo last Friday night and introduced as the first rodeo queen chosen in 1948. A former Sallisaw High School student, Mrs. Bronson said at the time she was sponsored by the Lions Club to be queen. “It was such an honor and so nice of them to recognize me during the rodeo,” she said.
