The home of Juan and Ashley Hernandez was reported a total loss Friday evening after spectators at the Vian High School football game noticed flames coming from the Hernandez home around 8 p.m., which is located near the school campus. By the time firefighters arrived on the scene, the home was reportedly fully-engulfed. The homeowners were able to get their dogs out, according to bystanders. Vian, McKey and RFPD#1 all responded to the blaze. Leigha Terrill of Vian has set up a GoFundMe account online under the name ‘Hernandez House Fire’ link https://gofund.me/563df000 for anyone wishing to make a monetary donation to the family. “As a dear friend of mine, I want to be able to help by taking away as much stress and worry as possible for her (Ashley),” Terrill said, who also lost her home to a fire. “I know personally how difficult it is to accept help in times like this but I also know how our community comes together to help, and show love and support in unexpected circumstances. She appreciates all of the calls, texts and prayers.” As of press time, nearly $1,000 had been raised of the $3,000 goal.
