CN allocates more than $100,000 to county law enforcement agencies
Sequoyah County Undersheriff Charles House, center, accepts a check for $25,000 on behalf of the Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Department from the Cherokee Nation, which was made possible by the tribe’s motor vehicle and motor fuel tax monies. Presenting the check are Cherokee Nation Tribal Council Representatives from Sequoyah County, E.O. Smith (Dist. 5), left, and Daryl Legg (Dist. 6) right. “We really appreciate our partnership with Sequoyah County law enforcement agencies and everyone working with us. We’re just glad we can do this,” Legg said. LYNN MCCULLEY
