Vian 8U Coach Pitch Team Qualifies for State Tourney

The Vian Wolverines, an 8U coach pitch team, qualified for this week’s OK Kids state tournament in Clinton by finishing second last week at the regional tournament held in Vian. The Poteau Pokes won the regional tournament and the Sallisaw Redbirds and the Muldrow Storm placed third and fourth, respectively. The Wolverines are scheduled to begin state tournament action in Clinton at 4 p.m. Thursday.
