Cherokee Nation Deputy Principal Chief Bryan Warner of Sallisaw spoke last Tuesday evening at the Blackgum Community meeting/fish fry event hosted by Dist. 5 Councilman E.O. Smith (seated left). Warner spoke about the importance of preserving the Cherokee Language and other news pertaining to the tribe as a whole. Also attending the event and helping distribute door prizes was Dist. 5 Councilman Daryl Legg, seated left.
