I have noticed a battle going on in our society the past couple of weeks. Not a battle of sexes, race, fin ance, poli tics or sports. It is a battle of the holidays. Yes, I said the holidays. What is this battle? It is very complex and divisive it appears. “Do we put up decorations before or after Thanksgiving?” All this cold weather, evidently, is due to the people putting up lights, trees and decorations BEFORE Thanksgiving! Not only that, but it is robbing the fat turkey of his one day in glory and giving old St. Nick more time. The nerve, right?
