“ Matthew 21:1-5 “And when they drew nigh unto Jerusalem, and were come to Bethphage, unto the mount of Olives, then sent Jesus two disciples, Saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a with her: loose them, and bring them unto me. And if any man say Via n ought unto you, ye shall say, The Lord Baptist hath need of them; and straightway Church h£ will send them. All this was done, ___________ that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.” The King of Kings, the Lord of Lords (Revelation 19:16) came riding into Jerusalem on the lowest form of transportation other than walking. He did not come as in the Old Testament with runners going before him, proclaiming his greatness. He did not come as a conquering hero. He came humbly. He came sincerely. He came with purpose. He came to die for you and me. Soul of Man, today this same humble Jesus, the Christ, the son of God is seeking you. He wants you to come to Him by faith. (Hebrews 11:6) He has paid your wages of sin, but you will need to claim it. (Romans 6:23) (Galatians 2:8-9) The Bible tells us that God breathed into man the breath of life and man became a living soul. (Genesis 2:7) Because it was the breath of the Eternal God, it is an eternal soul, living somewhere forever.
