John 1:29 “The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” John the Baptist saw Jesus coming toward him. He cried out to all those who had come to where he was preaching repentance. Many came and were baptized as an act of belief and repentance. He saw Jesus and cried out without thought, Behold the Lamb! This is the picture that the world would portray of Jesus. Lambs are weak and helpless. They need someone to guard them and protect them. They need a shepherd to see they have enough to eat.
