Hello and welcome again to our news. By the time you read this all of the baskets have been delivered and Easter is behind us, but not forgotten. We ended up making 140 baskets for the Pre-K, Head Start and Kindergarten students at Vian. It was truly a labor of love. Thanks to the PTO for your participation this year. We look forward to next year.
We have been crafting away this week with a little cooking on the side as it was grilled cheese sandwich day. We made cheddar and apple grilled cheese. Oh so yummy. Yesterday we made eyeglass holders and bowled for prizes. It was such fun and we had a good turnout. We will certainly play again.
Today we will be making spring door wreaths and having donuts and coffee. This afternoon we are going to take a walk around the neighborhood as its going to be in the 70s, perfect walking weather.
We are very excited as Michael Whalen Ministries will be here tomorrow and we will of course play bingo. Whoever said there was life beyond bingo has never been here on bingo days. We will open the company store on Wednesday where they can redeem their participation and bingo bucks. They so enjoy the shopping experience.
In closing I would like to congratulate Sherry Payne director of nursing on her retirement. I have worked with Sherry for 24 years and I couldn’t ask for a better don and friend to all of us. Best of luck Sherry, we will miss you.
Until next time, God Bless…Annette.
