Sallisaw – Graveside services for Geneva Pearlene (Caughman) Henry, 89, of Sallisaw, were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 11, 2023, at Sallisaw City Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mrs. Henry was born Aug. 9, 1933, in Sallisaw, to J.E. and Sylvia Caughman. She died on Monday, May 8, 2023, in Stilwell.
She married Billy Carrol Henry on Nov. 28, 1980. She was lovingly called Gink by her family. She was one of 12 children and loved spending time with her siblings and their families. She was also the best stepmom ever. If she was needed to help or babysit at any time, she was there.
Survivors are a step-son, Phil and wife Laura Henry of Sallisaw; step-daughters, Sherrel Henry of Sallisaw, and Sheila and husband Mack Crittenden of Stilwell; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Wayne Caughman, Jack and wife Pam Caughman, and Lyndell and wife Jill Caughman; one sister, Brenda McDaniel and husband Jack; and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, John, Bob, Jody, James and Charles “Chock” Caughman; and sisters, Wanda Hartley and Lahoma Dotson.
