Sallisaw – Graveside services for Gladys Loretta “Retta” (Lacey) Ward, 86, of Sallisaw, were at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 11, 2023, at Akins Cemetery under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ward was born on Oct. 8, 1936, to Eldon Lacey and Bessie Jane (Reed) Edwards. She died on Friday, May 5, 2023, in Sallisaw.
She was a homemaker. She married Bill Ward on Dec. 31, 1951. He preceded her in death on Feb. 2, 2013.
Survivors include two daughters, Lynda Ward and Loretta Bean, both of Marble City; three sons, Bob Ward of Vian, and Joe Ward and Terry Ward, both of Sallisaw; 19 grandchildren; several greatgrandchildren; and other family members and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Billie Kramer; and one son, Tim Ward.
