Gore – Funeral services for Carolyn Faye Aust, 80, of Gore, were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at First Baptist Church in Gore with Rev. Tim Perkins officiating. Burial followed at Fort Gibson National Cemetery under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home of Muskogee.
Mrs. Aust was born on August 16, 1942, in Fort Smith, Ark. to Roy and Alice Callison. She died on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at her home.
Faye, as she liked to be called, enjoyed reading, gardening, spending time with her grandchildren and visiting with friends at the community center.
Survivors are a daughter, Mary Clark; sister, Patsy Eastham; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Henry “Hank” Aust, her parents; a sister, Susie; and two sons, Darren and Derrick.
