He was an electrician for KG&E and pastor of Members in Christ Assembly in Vian.
He married Violet Alexander on Feb. 24, 1967, in Wichita, Kan.
Survivors include his wife, Violet Buttrey of the home; four daughters, Tammy Sue DeGraw of Atlanta, Kan., Kathy Lynn Matthew of Wichita, Kan., Bobbie Jean McHatten of El Dorado, Kan., and Kelly Kay Buttrey of Vian; one son, Michael Buttrey of Vian; three brothers, Buddy Buttrey of Sallisaw and Del Buttery and David Buttery both of Vian; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Donald Buttrey.
Vian – Services for Robert L. Buttrey, 74, of Vian, were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at the Blackgum Baptist Church Gymnasium.
Cremation is under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Mr. Buttrey was born on July 24, 1948, in Vian to Odis Buttrey and Cherokee (Houston)
