Tulsa – Graveside services for William Joel Barger, 62, of Tulsa, were at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at Box Cemetery in Vian, under the direction of Forever Memories Funeral Services of Sallisaw.
Mr. Barger was born on Dec. 27, 1960, to Billy “Sie” George and Nellie Sue (Hight) Barger at Alameda Naval Hospital in Alameda, Calif. He died on Friday, May 26, 2023, at his home in Tulsa.
He attended and graduated from Sallisaw schools. He worked in sales all his life, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and watching football.
Survivors are his wife of 32 years, Debra Ritter-Haraway Barger of Tulsa; son, Brandon Barger and Mary; step-sons, Joe and Misty Haraway of Muskogee and Shawn and Sandy Haraway of Webbers Falls; brother, Steve and Alex Barger of Pueblo, Colo.; sisters-in-law, Sally Armstrong and Mona Bennett, both of Vian; and other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; and other family members.
Pallbearers were Mike Taylor, Jimmy Quackenbush, Brandon Barger, Jacob Barger, Dewayne Barger, Joe Haraway and Shawn Haraway.
