Claremore – Funeral services for Michael Thomas King, 76, of Claremore, were at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at First Baptist Church in Sallisaw.
Burial was at 11 a.m. at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Ark., under the direction of Agent & Mallory- Martin Funeral Home.
Mr. King was born on Aug. 14, 1946, in Fort Smith to Thomas William King and Hazel Gene (McLellan) King. He died on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, in Bartlesville.
He was a retired counselor and a U.S. Air Force veteran, attaining the rank of Sergeant.
Survivors include a daughter, Jessica Menie of Claremore; two sons, Thomas King of Muldrow and Stephen King of Tontitown, Ark.; three sisters, Treva Hamilton and Jenna Rahm, both of Fayetteville, Ark., and Dr. Pattie Buxton of Edmond; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Pallbearers were Mike Farmer, Doug McEver, Ronnie Amos, J.T. Crawford, Tommy Andrews and Don Stites.
