According to organizers, this year’s Vian All-School Reunion was another great success with over 100 people signing in for the event.
“We’d like to send a big thank Vian Public Schools for allowing us the use of the cafetorium and to tour the old high school one more time,” Ron Morris, organizer and member of the reunion board, said. “By the next reunion, the old high school will be gone, and the new beautiful high school will be in operation.”
“It was great walking those halls and looking at all the class photos, ” Cynthia Kellogg Tate, another organizer and board member, said. “ It truly meant a lot for everyone to walk those halls again.”
Juanita Risley Cowett said the oldest class in attendance was the Class of 1954, and the youngest was 2018.
“We had 100 people sign in, but feel that there were way more people that didn’t sign in,” Morris said. “And a big thank you to the All-School Reunion Board, that worked so hard to put all this together.”
Martha Moss Morris said they would like to thank the sponsors of this year’s event: Vian Public Schools, John McCombs of John’s hamburgers and Ice cream, Sylvia and Jarrett Cooney of Rail Fence BBQ, Jason Carter of Vian Pharmacy, Armstrong Bank, Shannon Reason Johnson of The She Shed, Rebecca and Danny Gates of Valley-4Welding, Juanita Risley Cowett for the gift baskets, Vian Wolverines license plate donated in memory of Holly Gaylene Cook by Ron Morris, Amie Remer and Vian Tenkiller News, and Sherrie and Mel of Sweet Nana’s Donuts.
“We also want to extend our thanks to Kody Goad for being our photographer for the evening, and all the alumni that donated to keep the reunion going. We can’t wait to see you all in 2025,” the reunion board members said.
