Sallisaw – Funeral services for Jerry Glenn Risenhoover, 80 of Sallisaw, were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at Brushy Holiness Church in Sallisaw. Burial followed at Brushy Cemetery in Sallisaw under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mr. Risenhoover was born on May 27, 1943, in St. John, Kan., to Iva Geraldeen (Crawford) Risenhoover and Joseph Hardin Risenhoover. He died on Thursday, June 15, 2023, in Sallisaw.
He was married to Katherine Jane (Bilyeu) Risenhoover on Oct. 8, 1960, in Stilwell. He was a welder.
Survivors are his wife, Janie of the home; two daughters, Cindy Ellis and Randy of Marble City and Juliet Risenhoover of Sallisaw; one son, Joey Risenhoover and Lydia Buster of Sallisaw; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, LaVurn Barker and Vicki Brewer of Sallisaw; one brother, Dennis Risenhoover of Sallisaw; and numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two infant sons, Jerry Dewayne and David Risenhoover; sister, Arlena Gardenhire; and brother, Bobby Joe Risenhoover.
Pallbearers were Douglas Risenhoover, Michael Brewer, David Philpot, David Barker, Kyle Ricks, Johnny Risenhoover and Paul Sullivan.
Honorary pallbearers were Jess Lamb, his nephews and great nephews.
