Both the Oklahoma Sooners and the Arkansas Razorbacks have gotten a jump on their Southeastern Conference portion of their respective 2024 seasons — which will be the first season for OU to be a part of the SEC — as the league announced all schools’ conference opponents for that campaign.
OUs 2024 SEC home opponents at Owen Field will be Alabama, South Carolina and Tennessee. The Sooners’ inaugural SEC season will feature road games at Auburn, Louisiana State University, Missouri and Mississippi. OU and Texas will also meet for their annual match-up at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, with the Sooners serving as the designated home team in 2024.
OU owns a 76-30-1 (.715) combined record against its seven 2024 SEC foes that are currently in the conference. It has never faced South Carolina.
Arkansas’ 2024 SEC slate will feature some old with a little new.
The Razorbacks will host LSU in the Battle for the Golden Boot, Mississippi, Tennessee and Texas with road games at Auburn, Mississippi State and Missouri for the Battle Line Rivalry. The Hogs will meet Texas A&M at Cowboys AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, for the Southwest Classic.
As previously announced, SEC teams in 2024 will play eight conference games plus one required opponent from the ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, Pac-12 or major independent during the 2024 season when the SEC becomes a 16-team conference. Each of the 14 current SEC members will play either OU or Texas — home or away — during the 2024 season.
