Brent – Graveside services for Wanda (Fargo) Barrett, 82, of Brent, were at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at Brent Cemetery in Sallisaw, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
She was born on March 4, 1941, in Brent to Hazel Lorene (Harmon) Fargo and Jess B. Fargo. She died on Friday, June 9, 2023, in Gans.
She was married to James Barrett on Oct. 1, 1958, in Stilwell.
She enjoyed raising flowers, doing yard work and caring for her miniature donkeys.
Survivors are her husband, James of the home; one daughter, Lisa Barrett of Brent; one daughterin- law, Debbie Barrett of Cedarville, Ark.; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Janice Herring and Bob of Broken Arrow; one brother, Jesse Fargo and Kathy of Gans; and several other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jesse Barrett; and three brothers, J.B. Fargo, Charles Fargo and Johnny Fargo.
Pallbearers were Chris Plank, Jamie Phillips, Bobby Herring, Timmy Fargo, Logan Gipson, Landon Gipson, Grant Rhoads and Russ Wassenberg.
Honorary pallbearers were Kelly Jack Fargo, Johnny Fargo, Roger Fargo, Dalton Fargo, Danny Middleton and Jackie Hall.
