Tulsa – A gathering to celebrate the life of Barbara Lee Casey, 92, of Tulsa, was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Hanson Baptist Church.
Mrs. Casey was born on Nov. 14, 1930, in Seminole to Garlon and Della (Scoggins) McEver. She died on June 13, 2023.
She was a graduate of Central High School. She worked at Sallisaw State Bank and then Sallisaw Coal Stripping Company in Ft. Smith, Ark. She also sold insurance and real estate. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was married to John B. (Peach) Casey on April 14, 1951, in Fort Smith, Ark.
Survivors include a daughter, Bivra Joann and husband Dale Cluck of Bixby; two grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; a sister, JoAnn and husband Ron Harwell of Hanson; two sisters-in-law and their husbands; and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, John B. Casey; her parents, one sister; and one brother.
In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Folds of Honor or the Macular Degeneration Society.
