Sallisaw – Funeral services for Ozzie Lee Hines Sr., 65, of Sallisaw, were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at the Agent & Mallory-Martin Chapel in Sallisaw. Burial was at Brushy Cemetery under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Mr. Hines was born on Oct. 15, 1957, in Tahlequah to Clayton Mayo Hines and Sylvia (Davis) Hines. He died on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, in Sallisaw.
He was a farmer and rancher. Survivors include two daughters, Ozalena and Hector Martinez and Victoria Hines and fiancé Jason Janway, all of Brushy; one son, Ozzie Lee Hines Jr. and Latisha of Marble City; six sisters, Mary Caves, Marie Bolin and Gary, Jewel Dean Teague and Donald, Nancy Lineberry and Allen, Sylvia Hines-Goodwin and Imogene Cheek, all of Sallisaw; two brothers, Thomas Hines and Iva and Clayton Hines and Paula, all of Brushy; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Edith Hines; one brother, Edward Hines; and brother-in-law, Calvin Caves.
Pallbearers were Chip Teague, Jason Janway, Tristan Hines, Hunter Hines and Clay Martinez.
