Betty Lorece Hendrix

Sallisaw – Graveside services for Betty Lorece Hendrix, 84, of Sallisaw, were held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 14, 2023, at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hendrix was born on Aug. 2, 1938, in Hanson to Welborn Baxter Woodward and Anna Leona (Sutton) Woodward. She died on Friday, July 7, 2023, in Claremore.

She was a homemaker. She married Floyd James Hendrix on March 19, 1955, in Sallisaw. He preceded her in death on Feb. 17, 2015.

Survivors include two sons, Floyd James Hendrix Jr. and Kathryn of Coweta and Greg Hendrix of Claremore; two grandchildren; and other family members and friends.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Flossie Neal, Vivian Woodward, Lea Cheek, Laverne Fisher; and brothers, Euel, Owen, Aubrey, Johnnie, Ray, Fay and Watie Woodward.
