Gans – Memorial services for Brian Southern, 43, of Gans, will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2023, at Brent Community Center in Brent. Cremation is under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Mr. Southern was born on Jan. 19, 1980, in Newton, Kan., to Maryellen (Corona) Southern and Bobby Ray Southern. He died on Sunday, July 23, 2023, in Little Rock, Ark.

He was married to Christina Kay Owens on Aug. 1, 1998, in Gans.

He was a contractor and of the Catholic faith. He loved fishing, hunting, working on cars, riding his Harley and spending time with his grandkids.

Survivors are his wife, Christina Southern of the home; two sons, Jacob Southern and Alyssa and Caleb Southern, all of Gans: three grandchildren; mother, Maryellen Southern of Newton; one sister, Amber Skye of Newton; three brothers, Bill Southern and Sandy, Michael Southern and Christi and Bobby Southern and Tiffany, all of Newton; and numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father; one brother, Justin Stevenson; and grandparents, Lupe and Helen Corona.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jacob Southern, Caleb Southern, Gunner Southern, Jaxtyn Southern, Kegan Southern, Daniel Brunk and James Woodruff.
