There’s two wishes that Gore Lady Pirate senior cross country runner Hallie Kinion desires to become reality come the Class 2A State Meet, which will be Oct. 28 in Edmond.
Kinion wishes to end not only the two-year drought of missing out on state, but to end her prep career as an All-Stater by finishing in the top 15 in the state meet.
Kinion made state as a freshman, and she missed out on making state last fall as a junior by .23 seconds at the Class 2A Regional Meet, where she ended up 21st.
As a junior, some of her highlights were winning the Muskogee Invitational, coming second in her own Gore Invitational, placing fourth at the Sequoyah-Tahlequah Invitational, coming in eighth at the Sequoyah-Claremore Invitational and finishing 12th at both the Army National Guard Meet at Camp Gruber near Braggs and the Checotah Invitational.
