Sallisaw – Funeral services for Janice Lee Mattox, 75, of Sallisaw, were held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 4, 2023, at the Agent & Mallory-Martin Chapel in Sallisaw. Burial was at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Mrs. Mattox was born on Dec. 20, 1947, in Tulsa to James Edward Robison and Donna Madge (Wise) Robison. She died on Monday, July 30, 2023, in Fort Smith, Ark.
She worked in medical billing at Hiram Walker. She married Paul Mattox on Feb. 24, 1984. Survivors include her husband, Paul of Sallisaw; one daughter, Bonnie and Brian Stites of Sallisaw; one son, Jeff and Stacy Mattox of Alma, Ark.; brother-in-law, Brent and Starlett Mattox of Sallisaw; step-mother, Linda Mattox of Sallisaw; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Pallbearers were Don Ollie, Keagan Thomas, Landon West, Brian Stites, Donavon Baldridge and Andrew Kaelin.
