The Webbers Falls Lady Warriors wish to improve upon last year’s 3-18 record this fall, and that is well within their reach with most of the players back from a season ago.
Two seniors back for their final time on the fast-pitch softball diamond are pitcher Madilyn “Maddy” Raskey and catcher Savannah Frazier.
The remaining returning starters back are junior shortstop Bridgette Baer, junior rightfielder Gracie Stargell, junior utility player Teralynn Colton, sophomore second baseman Rhilee Jones, sophomore centerfielder Lextyn Chappell and sophomore leftfielder Ricki Frazier.
Chloee McGuire, Taryn Trennepohl, Karla Bonilla, Jaylene Goodman, Peyton Hobbs, Shannon Pense and Bentley Ward round out the roster.
“We have a great group of girls with lots of potential,” secondyear Webbers Falls coach Kera Carter said. “They work hard and are competitive with a spirit to win. We have speed and athleticism, but we’re still learning how to play as a team — and lean on each other. However, we do have good leadership. We want to reach our goals and be successful, but this team has more work to be done — but this team should not be overlooked.”
