Cookson – Funeral services for Marilyn Ann Toler, 77, of Cookson, were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2023, at the Agent & Mallory-Martin Chapel in Sallisaw. Burial was at Mitchell Cemetery in Gans under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Mrs. Toler was born on Sept. 18, 1945, in Gans to John Egan and Faye Ollie (Anglen) Hicks. She died on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2023, in Tahlequah.
She worked in the food industry at Bakersfield College in California. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include one daughter, Tanya and Robert Ziebol of Princeton, Minn.; two brothers, Bob Wortham of Sallisaw and James Hicks of Muskogee; four grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas Roy Toler, on Dec. 5, 2009; one son, Eric; and two sisters, Barbara Roland and Peg Edgemon.
