Sallisaw – Sandra Ruth (Bruce) Corn Asbill, 83, of Sallisaw, died on Friday, July 28, 2023, in Sallisaw. She was born on May 22, 1940, in Indianapolis, Ind., to Marion Bruce and Ruth (Herron) Van Buskirk.

No formal service is planned at this time. Cremation is under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.

She was an RN and high school secretary.

Survivors include two daughters, Jennifer Smurthwaite of Decatur, Texas and Amy Bleyl of Sallisaw; one son, Chris Corn of Australia; one stepson, Greg Asbill of Sallisaw; one brother, David and Carol Bruce of North Carolina; sister-in-law, Debbie Irby of Illinois; and other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Ronnie Asbill on Feb. 2, 2013.
