WEBBERS FALLS SOFTBALL

McCURTAIN — After canceling their Aug. 14 road game at Central, the Lady Warriors dropped a pair of road games Aug. 15 — losing 4-0 to host McCurtain and 10-1 to Smithville.

In the loss to Smithville, the Lady Braves rallied from a 1-0 firstinning deficit with a single run in the second inning, three runs in the third inning and six runs in the fourth inning to put the game into run-rule status.

The Lady Warriors (1-4) scored their lone run on a bases-loaded walk to Maddy Raskey in the first inning. Webbers Falls only mustered two hits, a single apiece from Bridgette Baer and Rhilee Jones. Raskey (14) took the loss.

There was no further information about the loss to McCurtain.
