Sallisaw – Funeral services for Lara Anderson Wilson, 77, of Sallisaw, were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2023, at White Chapel Church in Gore. Burial was at White Cemetery in Gore under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wilson was born on Oct. 4, 1945, in Gore to John Wayman Anderson and Bessie (Hunter) Anderson. She died on Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2023, in Sallisaw.
She was a butcher. She married James Wilson on Sept. 25, 1982, in Sand Springs.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; two daughters, Destiny Wilson and Teresa Cates; one son, William Cates; two sisters, Alice Faye Risley of Tulsa and Wanda Holeman of Sallisaw; and other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Crickett Wilson; sisters, Dorothy, Helen, Ida Mae, Anna Faye, Hazel Marie, Lillian Mae, Frances and Imogene; and two brothers, Aire and J.W.
