In Thursday’s opening- round game, the Lady Pirates beat the Lady Warriors 7-4, then lost in the winner’sbracket semifinal 10-1 to the Porum Lady Panthers.

The Lady Warriors went two and out as they lost 8-0 to McCurtain in Thursday’s loser’sbracket quarterfinals after losing to Gore.

In Gore’s loss to Mc-Curtain, the Lady Pirates (5-14) were two-hit by McCurtain’s pitcher. All Gore could muster was a single apiece by Sophie O’Connor and Kendra Huckbay.

After the Lady Pirates scored first in the opening inning on Curran’s RBI double scoring Cadi Shoemake for a 1-0 lead, the Lady Panthers responded with an eightrun first inning, then a pair of single runs in the third and fourth innings put the game into runrule status.

In defeat, Curran hit an RBI double, Daily doubled and Natalie Casteel and Huckbay each singled for Gore.
