Sallisaw – Burial for Joyce Colon, 72, of Sallisaw, were held at 10 a.m. Sept. 1, 2023, at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Mrs. Colon was born on Sept. 2, 1950, in Sallisaw to Clifford Vernon Looper and Mary Marie (McDonald) Looper. She died on Sunday, Aug. 27, 2023, in Sallisaw.
She was a quality control specialist at Tyson Foods.
She married Jose Colon on May 28, 1999, in Fort Smith, Ark. He preceded her in death on Sept. 6, 2020.
Survivors include six children, Amy Price, Clark Ballinger, Mark Ballinger, Arlena Massa, Travis Ballinger and Destin Colon; three sisters, Rosa Scott, Merilyn Looper and Kathy Freeman; one brother, Glenn Looper; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; two half-brothers; and three half-sisters.
