Church That the blessing of Abraham might come on the gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the spirit through faith.
The blessing of Abraham is for all believers. Abrahams blessing had three parts: 1. It was a material or financial blessing. Genesis 13:2, And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver and in gold. Thou seest, to thee will I give it and to thy seed forever. Deuteronomy 23:4-5, and 8, 11-12.
2. It was also a physical blessing. Genesis 13:16 and 17:16, and Exodus 15:26 and 23:2526.
3. It was a spiritual blessing. Galatians 3:14, In the New Testament, III John 2, agrees that God wants us to be prosperous materially, financially, physically and spiritually. Ill John 2, Beloved I wish above all thing that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. Prosperity wasn’t for the Jesus only under the old covenant. Ill John 2 was written to believers. The bible is over final authority.
Galatians 3:14 says that the blessing of Abraham might come on the gentiles through Jesus Christ. That means Abraham’s blessing is mine if you’re a believer. For years, the church was taught that erroneous teaching that we shouldn’t have anything in life, and that we should go through life with our noses to the grind stone, that was supposed to be a characteristic of humility.
Hogwash, after all God didn’t put everything on the earth that’s here.
Psalms 24:1, The earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof, the world, and they that dwell therein.
Psalms 50:12, If I were hungry, I would not tell thee, for the world is mine, and the fullness thereof.
The bible says that the cattle on a thousand hills is the Lord’s (Psalm 50:10).
It also says in Haggai 2:8, The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the Lord of Hosts. Well for whom did the Lord make all those things? God created the world and everything in it, then He created man and said: Adam I give you dominion over all the works of my hands (Genesis 1:28).
So God gave Adam dominion over all the cattle and the silver and gold and over the world and the fullness thereof. In other words, Adam was the god or the caretaker of this world. Someone asked, why then is the devil and his crowd so prosperous? Because Adam committed high treason (Genesis 2:17 and 3:6-7, Romans 5:14).
Adam sold out to the devil, and Satan then became the god of this world. That’s why in the New Testament, Satan is called the god of this word (II Corinthians 4:4).
But Jesus the second Adam, I Corinthians 15:45-47, came to redeem us from the hand of Satan (Ephesians 1:7 and Colossians 1:13).
Romans 5:17 says: For if by own man’s offense death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift or righteousness shall reign in life by one; Jesus Christ.
The amplified translation says: Reign as kings in life through the one; Jesus Christ.
Simply put, believers have dominion over Satan in our lives. We are to dominate, not be dominated by Satan or circumstances. Circumstances, poverty, sickness and disease are not to rule over you, they’re yours to rule and reign over them. Each member in the body of Christ is to reign as kings in life by Christ Jesus, in whom we have redemption. Galatians 3:29, and if ye be Christ’s, then are yet Abraham’s seed, and Heirs according to the promise.
Galatians 3:7, Now ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. Thank God Abraham’s blessing is ours. If you get ahold of this truth in your heart, it will absolutely thrill you and we need to get thrilled with God’s word.
Psalms 119:162, I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil.
