TULSA — The Vian Wolverines suffered a 55-11 road loss to the Lincoln Christian Bulldogs on Friday night at Willie George Field at Dennis Byrd Stadium.
Things got started off on the right paws for the Wolverines (1-2) as they scored first on a 29-yard field goal by Mikayah Mendoza for a 3-0 lead with about nine minutes left in the first quarter.
However, from there it was all Bulldogs (3-0) as they scored the next 42 points of the first half, 21 in each of the first and second quarters, to build a 42-3 lead at halftime.
After Lincoln Christian scored in the third quarter to up its advantage to 49-3 with about 10 minutes left in the third quarter, Vian scored its lone touchdown on the night as Draighton Fletcher scored on a 1-yard TD run, followed by a twopoint conversion pass from Nathan Creasey to Jacob Brannick with about seven minutes left in the period.
