Hello again and welcome to the Nursing Home News. We continue to prepare for the Senior Ol ympi c s as the day draws near. We have assembled a team that is going for the gold.

Our relay team is practicing as we speak. Actually we are so looking forward to seeing everyone as it’s been far too long that we have been able to congregate.

We have celebrated several special days these past few weeks such as Cheese Day, where we made cheese pizzas and Waffle Day where we had a waffle bar with strawberries, whipped cream and other toppings. They loved them both.

We will be making guacamole for Guacamole Day. Each resident will have an array of ingredients to make their own special version. Of course we will have lots of tortilla chips to go with it.

We had a bean auction and karaoke yesterday. Thanks to Kristie and Mark. What a ton of fun. We so thank you. Also thanks to Clint our Wednesday bingo guy. The residents love you.

We of course have had crafts, coffee and conversation, movies and popcorn, sitting on the porch as the weather has been perfect and much more.

We are already planning for Halloween as its right around the corner and the residents want a big Halloween party, costumes and all. So whatever they want, we shall provide. Then before we know it, it is the holiday season, oh my.

Well its bingo time so I’d best get busy.
