Sallisaw – Graveside services for Virgil “Choogie” Smoke, 50, of Sallisaw, were held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 11, 2023, at Ribbon Cemetery in Spavinaw under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.

Mr. Smoke was born on May 18, 1973, in Claremore to Gloria Sue King. He died on Thursday, Sept. 7, 2023, in Tulsa.

Survivors include his mother, of the home; and other family members and friends.

Pallbearers were Ed Smoke, Clint Smoke, Kevin Smoke, Colton Smoke, Jason King, Curt King, Scott Norman, Winterhawk Grimmett and Harley Tillerson.
