Oklahoma Highway Patrol Major Jansen Idlett came to visit and watch Vian’s seventh and eighth grade outdoor education class practice their archery skills that SRO Capt. Allen teaches. Major Idlett was impressed to discover the archery, fishing and mountain bike programs at Vian. “Vian Police Department and the residents of Vian love seeing the presence of multiple jurisdictions inside Vian, and how well we all work together,” Vian Police Chief Mark Harkins said. “Thank you, Major Idlett, for taking time out of your day to visit with our youth and our community.”
