Celebration of life services for Larry G. Vickers Jr., 51, of Vian, were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Vian, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Raised in Arkoma, Vickers was a 1991 graduate of Arkoma High School and continued his education at Northeastern State University, graduating in 1996. He graduated from Tulsa College of Law in 2000, and served in private practice for over two decades.
Vickers served as the Town of Vian’s attorney for 18 years, and was also the town attorney for Webbers Falls. He then became a Judge for Fort Gibson before most recently taking a position as an Assistant District Attorney for Muskogee County. He also served as the Muskogee County Bar Vice President.
Vickers passed away on Dec. 4, 2023.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association.
