For water treatment plant rehabilitation design
In a special meeting held on Nov. 29, the Gore Public Works Authority convened to discuss and take action on a crucial matter related to the rehabilitation of the town’s water treatment plant.
The meeting was called to order at 6 p.m. by vice-mayor Larry Pack, with roll call conducted by Lisa Settlemyre to declare the quorum present. The attendance for the meeting included Trustees Matt Holland and Gideon Miller, while Trustee Joni Couch and Mayor Robin Henry were absent.
The primary agenda item involved a significant decision, which was the approval to grant the chairman the authority to negotiate a contract with Holloway, Updike, and Bellen Inc. for the design phase of the water treatment plant rehabilitation. The proposed expenditure for this phase was not to exceed $75,000.00.
Pack initiated the discussion by making a motion to approve the negotiation authority, emphasizing the importance of progressing with the rehabilitation project. This motion was approved by a unanimous vote.
The decision to move forward with negotiations marks a crucial step in the town’s efforts to address the water treatment plant’s rehabilitation needs. Holloway, Updike, and Bellen Inc, a reknowned firm in the field, will be responsible for the design phase, playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of Gore’s water treatment infrastructure.
The meeting, lasting only a minute, concluded at 6:01 p.m. with vice-mayor Pack officially adjourning proceedings.
