Warner – Funeral services for Pastor Rennie Ohl, 75, of Warner, were held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 7, 2023, at Church on the Word in Warner. Burial followed at Gore Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mr. Ohl was born on Nov. 9, 1948, in Springfield, Ill., to Mary Elizabeth (Greenslate) Robinson and Rennie Everett Ohl. He died on Friday, Dec. 1, 2023.
He worked as a professional truck driver, did commercial diving and airplane mechanics, sold automobiles and real estate, and owned and operated a poultry production farm. He was also a minister of the gospel for almost 40 years, serving as senior pastor of Cornerstone Tabernacle in Gore and Church on the Word in Warner.
Survivors are his wife of 43 years, Patty of the home; five sons, Rennie Ohl, Jr. and Kim of Gore, Johnny Ohl and Kiley of Monterey, Calif., Chad Ohl and Cathy of Fort Smith, Ark., Justin Ohl and Heather of Gore, and Austin Ohl and Samantha of Gore; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ronnie Ohl and Randy Ohl; and numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Beverly Dodds and Brenda Elmore.
Pallbearers were Ryan Ohl, Logan Ohl, Nathan Ohl, Aaron Ohl, Anderson Ohl and Brandon Ellis.
Honorary pallbearers were Robert Phillips, Gloria Braddock and Virginia Collier.
