Sallisaw – Clayton Junior McClure, 82, was born May 18, 1941, in Sallisaw, to Ivalee (Holland) McClure and Cornelius Robert McClure. He died on Friday, Nov. 24, 2023, at his home.

He loved fishing and hunting.

Survivors are his wife of 62 years, Shirley (Phillips) McClure; daughter, Loretta Williams of Claremore; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mary Barger and Don, Martha Taylor and Lee, and Brenda Bryant and Victor, all of Sallisaw and Linda Bush of Marble City; two brothers, Cecil McClure, and Connie Mc-Clure and Ethel, all of Sallisaw; and numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and six brothers, Leon, Wayne, Clayborn, Hubert, Hulan and John McClure.
