Vian – Graveside services for Johnny Lee Peoples, 75, of Vian, were held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 15, 2023, at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Mr. Peoples was born on Sept. 8, 1948, in Vian to Edgar Peoples and Flora Kathryn (Cowett) Holeman. He died on Sunday, Dec. 10, 2023, in Fort Smith, Ark.
He was a welder and of the Christian faith. He married Naoma June Young on March 5, 1970, in Vian. She preceded him in death on March 1, 2023.
Survivors include one daughter, Montea Johnson and Chris Randolph of Muldrow; one son, Johnny Wayne and Trudie Peoples of Sallisaw; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his parents.
