Masonic Lodges of Murrow #49 and Mosholatubbee Lodge #13 recently donated $1,000 each to help families living with disabilities in eastern Oklahoma, thanks to a match from the Masonic Charity Foundation of Oklahoma. Funds raised will help with the Sensitive Santa program held by the Pervasive Parenting Center (PPC). During a Dec. 5 meeting at the Murrow Lodge in Spiro, Director Kodey Toney was presented with the checks. Joe Damato, worshipful master at the Murrow Lodge #49 in Spiro, along with Rick Deaton, worshipful master at Mosholatubbee Lodge #13 in Cameron, together provided the $2,000 that will be used for the PPC’s holiday program. The PPC holds a Sensitive Santa each year to help provide individuals with disabilities, and more specific, sensory issues, a place to visit with Santa without all the distractions. The group provides Santa in LeFlore, Sequoyah, Haskell, Latimer, Cherokee, and Adair counties. This is the 13th year for the program.
