ARKOMA — The Gore High School basketball teams swept their Riverside Conference road games against the Arkoma squads Tuesday night at Neil Brannon Gymnasium.
The Lady Pirates won their second game of the season as they tamed the Lady Mustangs 51-30, then the Pirates corralled the Mustangs 44-34.
In the girls’ contest, the Lady Pirates (2-6) jumped out to a 12-3 lead after a quarter, which became a 23-14 halftime advantage and a 32-20 lead entering the final period — in which Gore outscored Arkoma 19-10 to seal the deal.
For the game, Emily Daily scored a gamehigh 14 points and Oaklei Thornton added 10 points to lead Gore, followed by Rayleigh Moore with nine points, River Shoemake with seven points, Ricki Huckbay with four points, Tristen Colbert and Kaitlyn Byrne with three points each and Paige Curran with a free throw.
In the boys’ game, Cain Cooper led the Pirates (4-4) with 22 points, followed by Journey Shells with 10 points, Bryon McDuffie with four points and Ayden Cox, Noah Thouvenel, Tate Brooksher and Burr Jaynes with two points apiece.
