Gore – Funeral services for Kathy LeeAnn Swimmer Laymon, 56, of Gore, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2023, at the Agent Millsap Event Center in Gore with Stanley Smith officiating. Burial followed at the Swimmer Family Cemetery under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home of Muskogee.

Mrs. Laymon was born on Dec. 4, 1967, in Bangor, Maine, to James Swimmer and Sharon Lane Swimmer. She died on Dec. 14, 2023, in Gore.

She attended school at both Gum Springs and Gore. She was a homemaker, collected ceramic pigs and a former member of the West Tenkiller Fire Department.

She was married to Chuck Laymon on Feb. 23, 1990, in Gore.

Survivors are her husband, of the home; three sons, Brett Laymon, J.J. Laymon and C. J. Laymon, all of Gore; two sisters, Karen Swimmer and husband Vernon Laffoon, and Jennifer Pennington, all of Gore; brother, Jimmy Swimmer and wife Debra of Gore; aunts and uncles, Danny Swimmer, Linda Swimmer, Townsil and Donna D. Lane, Richard and Sandra Lane, Ann Lane, Jeana and Chris Laymon, Susan Lane and Donna K. Lane, all of Gore; and numerous other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothersin-law, Jeff Laymon and Mitchell Laymon; motherin- law, Walsie Laymon; grandparents, Margaret and Earl Lane; uncles, Vergial Swimmer, Mickey Lane, Mike Lane and Jimmy J. Lane; and one aunt, Alice Swimmer.

Pallbearers were Brett Layman, J.J. Layman, Karen Swimmer, Jimmy Swimmer, Casey Laymon and Jacob Laymon.

Honorary pallbearers were C. J. Laymon and Eric Laymon.
