Sallisaw Masonic Lodge #120 at 109 E. Redwood in Sallisaw is proud to serve their community.
“There are always rumors surrounding that strange building…we hear everything from being a secret cult, to being devil worshippers, hopefully this article can put those silly rumors to rest,” the Masonic Lodge said.
The Masonic organization is the oldest known fraternity in the world. “That is what we are, a fraternity of brothers. Brothers in the sense that we will care for our brother in time of his need. We pledge to help the needy and the young people in our community. We schedule fundraisers during the year to help with our scholarships that we give to deserving students; we also help youth clubs and other groups as they apply and we find them worthy.”
The Sallisaw Masonic Lodge invites anyone to schedule a visit to examine their lodge building and see the history of Masonry in Sallisaw. Although their meetings are closed to the public, most Monday evenings, some of the fraternity will be there.
“Please consider helping us to help the youth to be better people by living their lives to the best of their abilities,” the Masonic Lodge said.
Remember, that on the first Saturday of every month, they serve a wonderful breakfast of pancakes, sausage, biscuits and gravy. All of the funds raised go right back into our community that they are proud of.
