She was a homemaker and of the Protestant faith. Survivors are two daughters, Janie Smith and Shannon of Park Hill and Dalene Hunt of Bartlesville; three grandchildren, Trevor Smith, Nathan Logue and Alayna Smith; father and step-mother, Mason and Margaret Johnson of Evening Shade; one sister, Sheila Johnson-Hall of Evening Shade; two brothers, Bruce Johnson and Chris of Neosho, Mo., and Kent Johnson and Tammy of Las Vegas, Nev.; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother; maternal grandparents, Eulas “Bud” and Ethel (Risley) Cato; and paternal grandparents, Steven and Victoria (Yandell) Johnson.
Pallbearers were Wyatt Fuller, Marcus Hall, Joe Johnson, Jr., Shannon Smith, Nathan Logue and Trevor Smith.
Funeral services for Deanna Marlene (Johnson) Barrett, 74, of Vian, were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2024, at Blackgum Harvestime Church in Vian. Burial followed at Box Cemetery in Vian under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Ms. Barrett was born on June 5, 1949, in Johnsonville, Sequoyah County, to Bessie (Cato) Johnson and Mason Johnson. She passed
